SJ Earthquakes commissioned me to produce the Mexican Heritage Night 2021 gate giveaway at PayPal Park.
“Somos Luchadores” (We Are Fighters) is an ode to Mexican resilience, to our indigenous ancestors, to my people of San José, CA, and to our community as we navigate a global pandemic by all means necessary.
The bandana is meant to be folded in half and worn over one's nose, to bring out our inner luchador (wrestler) and double as the all-too-familiar face mask.
I found clever ways to integrate Audi, the sponsor, into the design. Can you spot them?
